Hen Parties
A great idea for a unique Hen's night is the popular Salsa, dance and party night in the City of London. If you are trying to organize a Hen party with a difference take a look here. We offer a range of activities to get your event off to a flying start based in Central London if it is suitable.
1- Ladies only: a Salsa lesson with focus on Ladies Styling for a group of friends.
2- Ladies and male dance partners: a Salsa lesson with 4-6 "taxi" dancers in your party to keep ladies moving in your dance floor.
3- Healthy Treat: We can also book a Dance Studio in a Fancy Gym with a spa and you may have a whole package of a lesson followed by a jacuzzi, swimming and relax in a Coffee Shop. That is definitely a girl's treat.
4- Night out: We can book you a Venue for a Hen Party: drink, buffet, lesson, dance with a DJ.
So other Packages we suggest also are:
Solo One Teacher only.
Basic One Male Teacher + One Female Teacher.
Standard A Couple Teaching and Performing (Demo Show) + DJ (minimum 3 hrs).
Deluxe A Couple Teaching + DJ + decoration + 4 taxi dancers.
Deluxe Plus A Couple Teaching + DJ + decoration + 6 taxi dancers.
Package Notes Show: If there is a couple teaching they also do a Demo show. A show will be performed from a couple.
Decoration: Varies between creating a nice, party atmosphere. We have noticed that a lot of places do not have a party decoration neither an emphasis on a Latin theme for the night.
Taxi dancers: Experienced dancers (male and/or female) will join the party. So they will dance with your guests to create a fun atmosphere and get the shy people to move too! Also your guests will have the pleasure to dance with experienced dancers.

Weddings and First dance
Your First Dance, for most of us our wedding day is the first time we have ever had to plan a big event and there is so much to do. Why not plan ahead your wedding dance?
You can choose various packages from IDC. We will prepare you gradually and choreograph your special dance. We have access to hire professional Dance Studios in the City of London to prepare you for your show.
The choreography will bring the best out of each of you. We will endeavor to ensure that you not only feel good but look good also. Your wedding dance lessons can also increase the romance and anticipation of your wedding reception and help ease dance floor nervousness.
With wedding dance lessons, you can be relaxed, confident and simply spend your first wedding dance with the person you love.
Hints About Wedding Dance Lessons We recommend starting your dance lessons as early as possible before your wedding day. Most likely you will be very busy in the weeks before your ceremony.
Your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life. Dance the night away in style! IDC team really pay attention to technique; but our aim as a teachers, or choreographers either for a show or a wedding is to emphasize the best that each partner can perform..
Jeff says: "It's a pleasure to choreograph for a couple and emphasize an emotional connection that already exists and this can be done with dance with simple or complex moves;" Salsa is simple when it becomes a sequence of moves to lead and follow.

Teacher training: Become A Salsa Instructor
Have you ever dreamed of starting a career in Dance?
The course will give you a foundation of teaching skills in the entertaining industry of Salsa Dance. We are based in Central London.
You will learn:
The principles of teaching
Terminology
Communication skills
Organisational skills of structuring movement patterns and classes
Musical understanding
History of salsa
Different styles of salsa and Latin American dances
A good teaching programme will encourage the development of a number of skills, and still appear simple to the student at the same time.
With this in mind, the structure of the course aims to produce individuals who at the completion of it, should have some form of:
Musicality - understanding timing and instruments
Footwork - knowledge of basic step patterns
Partnership - lead and or following, partner empathy
Dance vocabulary - the terminology of dance teaching
Understanding - experience of salsa and Latin dance
The Course will include
15 hours of one-to-one + 50 hrs apprenticeship. This is the equivalent of a 6 month - 1 year of training Full Time Course.
Including practical time assisting private lessons.
Including practical time assisting group lessons.
7 Assignments
2 Practical Exams with 2 external guest teachers.
History of Salsa.
Musical understanding of Instruments and Timing.
Study of different techniques and styles: Cuban, L. A. London, New York.
Study of different Latin American Dances: Mambo, Cha Cha, Merengue, Rumba, Bachata.
Complete Audio package for Teaching - several CD's containing explanation of timing and instruments and more.
Class Structure and Syllabus for: Beginners and Improvers (for Intermediate level only with previous experience).
Training in how to organize and teach a Salsa Course for beginner and improvers students.
Learning the lead and follow of a comprehensive step list for teaching beginner, improver salsa classes (for Intermediate level only with previous experience).
Spins technique for male and female.
Styling tips for male and female.
Marketing strategies for your own Business.
Testing and inspection of participant with external teachers.
Certificate upon successful completion.
Regarding Certificate
In Salsa there is no Governing Body that accepts only International Certificate recognised in the World.
In order to be a Salsa Instructor:
You need excellent training
Syllabus to follow up as a lesson plan
Pratical experience
Feedback from a Highly experienced teacher/dancer ideally with a professional Dance training
Dedication, practice and will.
After your training: you are required to have insurance liability and CRB check
Practical Experience: You are required to have at least 1 year of Dancing Salsa-any styles to do your teacher's training.
Gain experience: After the training you are requested to do 10 hrs of practice before you gain your Certificate. You may assist teaching group lessons and also one to one. So you will gain EXPERIENCE which is essential for your teaching.
You will also be invited in taking part and assist in any IDC /Corporate Events and parties if you are in London.

Teacher training was a great experience. I have danced for many years and have always wanted to teach. The IDC training appealed to me as it seemed more comprehensive than other training programs which are on offer in London, such as “learn to teach in one weekend” I actually think that is impossible!
I valued the one to one time I spent with the IDC team, who also offer invaluable practical experience which you just can’t do with out. IDC were so helpful and patient with me over the last few months and always invited me to participate in their classes and workshops or any events they were running.
All this exposure to see what they do as a professionals was so useful and also inspiring. The team are friendly, fun and always open to questions. I chose IDC to do teacher training as they were able to provide a flexible and personal package. Being a qualified and experienced teacher in other disciplines, I needed them to appreciate my background and to provide the specific tuition needed to learn to teach salsa and to be able to transfer my skills to this style.
Jeff was professional, knowledgeable and great fun to work with!
